We are also experiencing a renewed appetite from organisations overseas to recruit executive directors from the UK; sound financial control, lean management techniques and change management experience are crucial. The general feeling among employers is that now is the time to start investing in senior hires, albeit with some caution. The upturn in senior hires and increased employer confidence are welcome signs of optimism within the market but should not be confused with a sustained recovery.
